Xander Mellor, a resident of Springfield, Illinois, who is only six years old, had been collecting coins for the last 18 months to purchase a puppy. Whenever his mother, Natalie Ellenburg, returned home from work, he would politely ask for her spare change and stash it in his savings jar.
Xander gave up his love for sweets and treats as he set his sights on adopting a furry companion. His grandparents caught wind of his endearing mission and surprised him with a visit to help make his dream come true!
