Meet Mosley, a lovable greyhound who was rescued from the dog racing industry at the age of 4.
Scott Merrihew and his wife welcomed the furry friend into their home without delay. However, the pooch had grown accustomed to a boisterous environment with numerous canines, leaving him at a loss on how to react to the affection and care shown by humans.
According to Scott, Mosley had some issues with separation anxiety and was quite possessive of his territory when they first got him. However, over the years, they showed him patience and helped him adjust to life beyond the race track, and he eventually became comfortable. As Scott’s wife got pregnant, Mosley, who is 8 years old, became particularly attentive to her.
Merrihew stated that as the pregnancy progressed, he noticed his spouse receiving more affection from him in the form of cuddles.
Upon the arrival of baby boy Lucas Merrihew, Mosley, the family cat, seemed to sense that a significant event had occurred. Despite his initial curiosity towards the newborn, Mosley was cautious and kept his distance. However, as time passed, he showed nothing but affection towards the new member of the family. The family now takes precautions to keep the cats out of the baby’s room at night, but Mosley is allowed to stay and has been a great companion to both the baby and the family.
