A heartwarming story emerged from the Indiana countryside when a kind-hearted woman discovered a small kitten alone in her barn. The woman was doing her farm chores when she heard an animal screeching and followed the sound to find the kitten lying on the floor, terrified and freezing. She estimated that the kitten was around ten days old and quickly gathered some straw to keep her warm and safe from the elements. Despite waiting many hours for the mother to return, there was no sign of her or the other kittens. Therefore, the woman decided to take care of the little girl herself, especially because the kitten’s temperature had started to drop dramatically. The kitten has taken to carrying her teddy bear around with her everywhere since being rescued.
In a rush, the mom came back home with her feline friend and tried to give her food, but unfortunately, the little one turned it down. Realizing that this was beyond her knowledge, she decided to reach out for aid from Catsnip Etc, which is an animal rescue group located nearby.

When we arrived to bring back the kitten, it was clear that she had been suffering from hunger, thirst, and a flea infestation. However, with the help of a shelter volunteer, we were able to nurse the little feline back to health and give her the energy she needed. We dubbed her ‘Cricket’ and watched as she eagerly drank from her bottle and devoured her food. After removing the fleas, Cricket was full of life and happiness.
That evening, she slept soundly in her comfortable bed, snuggled up with a brown teddy bear. With 24-hour specialist care, Cricket made a quick recovery and started to gain weight like a true champion.
As soon as the tiny feline was brought to the shelter, she made it clear that she craved attention. Sweet Cricket always communicated her needs and desires openly.
What she desired most of all was constant companionship from her teddy bear. This little kitty refused to be separated from her beloved toy, even when her foster mom wasn’t around.
Missy shared that she has a strong attachment to her teddy bear, whom she has been with since the day she was rescued. Her cuddly companion is her constant companion, providing comfort and security as she sleeps. Similarly, Cricket also has a close relationship with his teddy bear, relying on it for hugs and comfort when his mother is away. Even during stressful situations like getting injections at the vet’s office, the little girl brought her trusted teddy bear along for support.
Throughout his stay, Cricket held onto his teddy bear tightly, finding comfort and reassurance in having it with him. This helped him adjust to the new environment, thanks to the feeling of security it gave him.
Missy is an adorable and affectionate girl who loves to show her love and care towards others. Whenever she feels tired, she seeks comfort in the arms of her foster mother, and when awake, she enjoys playing with her loved ones. She has an immense attachment to her favorite Teddy bear, whom she insists on bringing along wherever she goes, be it outings with human friends or cuddle parties at home.
