Dazzled by the opulence: A tour of the luxurious $15M estate belonging to Steve Harvey in Atlanta

Following Madea, Steve Harvey steps in. The challenges he faces are often entertaining. Recent reports from TMZ reveal that Harvey, a comedian-turned-host, along with his wife Marjorie, purchased Tyler Perry’s Buckhead estate in Atlanta, Georgia for a whopping $15 million.

The programming of Harvey and Perry could be the cornerstone of a new television network. Shows like “Showtime at the Apollo,” “Celebrity Family Feud,” and Miss Universe are all helmed by the 63-year-old host.

Perry has television programs aired on various platforms such as BET, Netflix, OWN, and Nickelodeon. They both experienced homelessness and resorted to living in their vehicles before achieving success as entertainers.

In 2016, Perry finally managed to sell his massive 35,000-square-foot property for $17.5 million after struggling to find a buyer for almost two years. Originally listed for a whopping $25 million, the mansion’s sale price may have been significantly lower, but it still set a new record as Atlanta’s priciest real estate deal at the time.

Before diving into the details of this sprawling seven-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom residence, be sure to take a moment to relax. Nestled on 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, this estate boasts a 70,000-gallon infinity pool, a well-lit tennis court, a state-of-the-art gym, and a private spa for the ultimate in luxury living.

The luxurious residence comes fully equipped with a backup generator capable of supplying power to the entire estate, including a guesthouse, guardhouse, separate caretaker’s quarters, advanced security system, and various other top-of-the-line amenities.

The main mansion boasts a variety of unique features such as a theater, indoor pool, wine cellar, and an underground ballroom complete with a catering kitchen. These elements perfectly complement the French Provincial design of the estate.

As per information from buckhead.com, David Turner, formerly a businessman turned evangelist, made an interesting purchase and sale move involving properties named Perry and Harvey. The process seemed unusual due to his prior career in business. Turner mentioned in an interview, “I came across this house online and had a feeling that it was meant for me, a sign from God.” Despite making a loss of $2.5 million from the sale of the mansion, not including additional costs, renovations, and agent fees.

The luxurious estate, covering 6,500 square feet with five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in Little Elm, Texas, formerly owned by Harvey, along with a spacious property in Atlanta, are currently listed for $1.1 million each. Prior to acquiring the Perry property, Turner and his family resided in a lavish mansion in the guarded Beverly Park neighborhood, paying $100,000 a month to live in the prestigious estate located in the Californian hills overlooking Beverly Hills.
